Trafalgar Park is a specialised care home in the village of Nelson, close to Caerphilly. It focuses on providing residential, nursing, residential dementia, and nursing dementia care specifically for older adults. The dedicated staff is trained to meet various care needs, such as stroke recovery, diabetes management, incontinence assistance, hearing impairments, frailty, heart conditions, and vision issues. Whether you require long-term care or temporary respite, Trafalgar Park is eager to offer a warm welcome.

This welcoming residence features 52 bright and cosy en-suite bedrooms, with some offering views of picturesque gardens. Each room at Trafalgar Park is equipped with call bells and a TV connection. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms by bringing small items from home to foster a more familiar environment. Also, we are happy to accommodate residents' pets at Trafalgar Park, if it works for you.

Trafalgar Park features shared spaces, including tastefully decorated sitting and dining areas, a café, a soothing hair salon, and a lovely landscaped garden and patio with flowerbeds and seating for residents to enjoy nature, all collaboratively maintained by residents. Additional amenities encompass a pub, a tearoom, wet rooms, and a kitchenette perfect for preparing refreshments throughout the day, in addition to a serene area ideal for reading or knitting. The design prioritises accessibility, incorporating wheelchair-friendly elements throughout the home.

At Trafalgar Park, our committed culinary team crafts fresh meals for residents, prioritising locally sourced ingredients whenever feasible. Residents have the option to eat in communal areas or in their own rooms. We offer fixed mealtimes, serving three meals daily, alongside a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea. Furthermore, we encourage residents to engage in menu planning and regularly ask for any specific preferences. Our talented chef team addresses all dietary requirements.

The Wellbeing Coordinator guarantees that the weekly events calendar includes presentations, demonstrations, and performances from local artists like dancers, magicians, and singers. Residents participate in a variety of activities, such as gardening, baking, singing, quizzes, and arts and crafts, among others!
