Parklands Care Home

Parklands is a meticulously designed care home situated in the central area of Bedwas, close to Caerphilly. Our focus is on offering nursing care to individuals aged 65 and above. Our experienced staff members are well-prepared to handle a range of care requirements, such as those related to strokes, diabetes, hearing impairments, heart conditions, frailty, vision issues, and incontinence. Whether you need recovery care, ongoing assistance, or short-term respite, we are committed to supporting you and your family.

As you enter our welcoming care home, you'll find 38 beautifully furnished bedrooms that are thoughtfully fitted with en-suite facilities, a call bell, Wi-Fi, a TV point, and comfortable furnishings. We strongly encourage residents to bring their personal items and cherished furniture from home to make their adjustment to our care home as smooth and comforting as possible. We are also happy to accommodate pets by arrangement, ensuring that your beloved companions can stay close.

At Parklands, we provide a range of spacious common areas where residents can unwind, share meals, and partake in activities. These spaces include lounges, a dining area, a hair salon, and a sunny conservatory. Our residents particularly enjoy spending time in our beautifully landscaped gardens and patio, with some even engaging in the upkeep of the garden and flowerbeds. Furthermore, all parts of the care home are wheelchair accessible.

Our Wellbeing Coordinators organise meetings for the Social Committee and keep a weekly events calendar that highlights clubs, discussions, and performances by local talents. Residents can participate in activities such as gardening, baking, singing, quizzes, and arts and crafts. We also host community events, like coffee mornings, for residents and their families. Additionally, we offer a minibus for day trips to local attractions, such as garden centres, cafes, and parks.

Dining at Parklands is a delightful experience, thanks to our skilled culinary team, who painstakingly prepare fresh, nutritious meals while emphasising locally sourced ingredients. Residents enjoy three hearty meals a day, along with mid-morning snacks and afternoon tea. Special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated joyfully, featuring delicious cakes and themed culinary creations made by our chefs.
