Located in the lovely Shard End area of Birmingham, The Orchards is a compassionate care home specialising in nursing and dementia care for those aged 65 and older. The Orchards features 66 well-designed en-suite bedrooms, offering comfort and tranquility. Many rooms have lovely views of our gardens, and some include patio doors for outdoor access. Each room is equipped with essential amenities like a call bell, TV point, and Wi-Fi, ensuring connectivity. Residents are encouraged to personalise their spaces, creating a "home away from home." We also accommodate pets by arrangement, allowing your furry friends to stay with you.

Our care home boasts an array of inviting communal spaces designed to promote relaxation and social engagement. Residents can enjoy spacious lounges, elegantly appointed dining rooms, a cosy memory room, an entertaining cinema room, a café, and an activity room, all of which encourage social interaction. Additionally, our charming hair salon and welcoming pub complement our lovely outdoor areas, including a sensory garden and patio, providing ample opportunities to enjoy fresh air and the beauty of nature.

One of the standout features of life at The Orchards is our dynamic activities program, led by our enthusiastic Wellbeing Coordinator. With an exciting lineup of engaging activities available throughout the week—ranging from stimulating quizzes to delightful baking sessions, and therapeutic gardening—there is always something enjoyable for everyone to partake in. At The Orchards, our talented culinary team takes great care in preparing fresh, delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients. Residents have the flexibility to dine in our communal areas or in the comfort of their own rooms, enjoying three delightful meals daily, along with a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea. We also welcome resident participation in menu planning, ensuring that all dietary needs and preferences are thoughtfully accommodated.
