The Beeches

The Beeches Care Home in Wath-upon-Dearne, near Rotherham, offers residential and dementia care for 44 older people. The home is spread over 2 floors and has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate small group living with each area having its own lounge and dining room. Our Rotherham care home provides a safe, supportive environment where residents can feel at home with round-the-clock support from our experienced and compassionate care team.

The Beeches is conveniently located et within walking distance of Wath-upon-Dearne town centre and offers easy access to shops, markets, libraries, and green spaces such as Manvers Lake. Visits from local schools also create meaningful intergenerational experiences, bringing energy, laughter, and companionship into the home.

All of our residents have their own bedroom which they are encouraged to make their own. All rooms come equipped with electric profiling beds and furnishings. Should a new resident wish to bring their own items of furniture then providing they pass health and safety regulations we will do our best to accommodate this.

The gardens at The Beeches are a treasured part of daily life, offering a beautiful outdoor setting that can be enjoyed throughout the year. They regularly host seasonal events and community gatherings, while a charming converted shed, now a cosy tearoom, provides the perfect space for family celebrations, catch-ups and special occasions. Popular events such as summer barbecues and Bonfire Night festivities help bring residents, loved ones and the wider local community together.

Fresh, home-cooked meals are prepared daily by the catering team, with menus thoughtfully tailored to residents' tastes and preferences. From traditional Friday fish suppers to the home's much-loved homemade sausage rolls, dining at The Beeches combines familiar favourites with a welcoming social atmosphere. Afternoon teas, themed dining experiences, and seasonal celebrations add variety and enjoyment to mealtimes.

There is always something engaging taking place at The Beeches, with a varied activities programme designed to support wellbeing, creativity and social connection. Residents can take part in crafts, baking sessions, bingo and music therapy, while regular outings to local parks, garden centres and shopping destinations provide opportunities to stay active and connected to the wider community.

Many of our residents with dementia particularly enjoy our reminisce sessions and our staff love getting to hear about the varied lives of each of our residents. Family members are also very much encouraged to come and join in with our dementia-friendly activities.

Before becoming a resident at The Beeches our Management Team will have met the prospective resident and conducted a Care Needs Assessment. This initial assessment allows the Care Home Manager to put a full Care Plan in place and order any special equipment ahead of the resident moving into the home.
