Sandygate

Home to 54 residents with residential and dementia care needs, Sandygate Care Home supports people with living a fulfilled life in Wath-upon-Dearne near Rotherham. We have 21 beds for residents who have dementia care needs and 33 beds for residents who have residential care needs.

Our Sandygate Care Home is conveniently located in Wath-upon-Dearne, a short walk from the town centre with many amenities such as a library, church, weekly market, local shops, tearooms and a public house. We often plan trips for our residents from shopping trips to days out at the seaside.

Sandygate Care Home provides alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate feelings of isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia. Our brilliant trained therapist, Matt Le Mare, is funded by charitable donations. He spends 1 day a week with us and interacts with our residents through music.

We are very fortunate to have 2 dedicated Chaplains, Gail & Neil, who visit us 3 days a week at Sandygate Care Home. They provide a listening presence, companionship, and one-to-one pastoral support no matter what a person's beliefs are.
