Richmond House

Richmond House, located in Leigh, Lancashire, offers a supportive environment for older adults needing nursing and stroke rehabilitation and young individuals with physical disabilities. Our caring team provides convalescent, long-term, and short-term care for various conditions, including strokes, diabetes, and heart disease.

We feature 49 elegantly decorated en-suite bedrooms, some with stunning views of our gardens and direct access to nature. Each room includes a call bell, TV point, and Wi-Fi, allowing residents to stay connected. We encourage personalisation to create a comforting “home away from home” atmosphere.

Our facility comprises several spacious communal areas where residents can unwind, share meals, and participate in activities. These spaces include 2 lounges, 2 dining areas, a hair salon, a treatment room, a cinema room, a hobby room, a pub, a quiet room, and a kitchenette. Residents particularly enjoy spending time in our expansive, beautifully landscaped gardens and patio, with some even helping to care for the garden and flowerbeds. Moreover, all sections of the care home are wheelchair accessible.

Our lively activities program, overseen by our devoted Wellbeing Coordinator, is filled with energy and variety. We offer a rotating selection of activities, including engaging quizzes, enjoyable baking sessions, and therapeutic gardening. We frequently invite local community organisations, talented entertainers, and enthusiastic volunteers to enrich our residents' lives through shared experiences and companionship.

The culinary team at Richmond House focuses on fresh meals made with locally sourced ingredients. Residents can choose to dine in communal areas or their own rooms, with three meals daily, a mid-morning snack, and afternoon tea. We encourage participation in meal planning to cater to personal preferences, and our chefs accommodate all dietary needs and considerations, incorporating feedback from friends and family.
