Redesdale Court is a beautiful care home located just outside the historic seaside town of North Shields. Our dedicated team specialises in supporting older individuals with a range of care needs, including residential and dementia care. We also offer convalescent, post-operative, long-term, and short-term care. Our specialised services cater to specific needs arising from conditions such as strokes, diabetes, incontinence, hearing impairments, vision impairments, frailty, and heart disease.

With 76 well-appointed bedrooms, each featuring en-suite facilities, a TV point, Wi-Fi access, and full wheelchair accessibility, Redesdale Court ensures comfort and convenience for every resident. The home boasts a variety of communal areas, including cosy sitting rooms, inviting dining areas, and kitchenettes, all fostering a homely atmosphere. Residents also have access to a hairdressing salon, a quiet room, and a beautifully maintained courtyard garden, which many residents help to care for themselves.

Our activities program, orchestrated by our dedicated Wellbeing Coordinator, is vibrant and full of life. We offer a variety of activities, including stimulating quizzes, delightful baking sessions, and therapeutic gardening. We frequently invite local community groups, talented performers, and enthusiastic volunteers to enrich the lives of our residents through shared experiences and companionship. Additionally, we have a minibus for taking residents on day trips to nearby attractions, such as garden centres, cafes, and parks for leisurely strolls.

Mealtimes are an essential part of the day at Redesdale Court. Our talented culinary team prepares three nutritious meals a day, along with a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea. Whenever possible, we use locally sourced, fresh seasonal ingredients. We also love to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays, with our chefs creating impressive spreads and delicious cakes.
