Cartref Dyfi Care Home

Nestled in the heart of Machynlleth, Powys, Cartref Dyfi is a thoughtfully designed care home dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals with dementia, as well as residential and respite care. Our central location near shops and bus routes enhances convenience for our valued residents and their families.

Our single-storey care home has 28 beds, and we encourage residents to personalise their spacious bedrooms as they wish. Many rooms feature a sink, as well as a TV and telephone points, allowing residents to stay connected. We encourage them to display family photos or bring their favourite soft furnishings and ornaments. Residents are also welcome to bring their own furniture, provided it complies with health and safety regulations.

Cartref Dyfi Care Home boasts two attractive lounges that are ideal for socialising with fellow residents, a bright dining room where home-cooked meals are served, and a hair salon for a pampering experience.

We have a beautiful, secure garden at Cartref Dyfi, which is very popular with our residents. Whether enjoying lunch on the patio seating or helping to maintain our flower pots and raised flower beds, there are plenty of enjoyable activities available in our outdoor area. A dedicated smoking area is available for residents who wish to use it.

At Cartref Dyfi Care Home, we offer a wide and varied daily activities program that changes with the seasons. Activities are planned for both the morning and afternoon to reflect the interests of our residents. We also welcome community groups and schoolchildren into our home, helping residents stay connected to the local community. Additionally, we invite visits from pets, which our residents love.
