Bucklesham Grange is our multi-award-winning care home in Suffolk, which provides residential care and dementia care in Ipswich and is proud to have also recently received accreditation in end of life care. The home is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by tranquil countryside. We provide flexible care to a high standard at our 55-bedroom care home in Suffolk – so if the needs of your loved one change, they are unlikely to have to move home.

Bucklesham Grange is the first residential care home in the Hallmark family to have achieved an ORCHID award, showing they are successfully implementing all 11 aspects of the Hallmark Care Homes’ dementia strategy and we have recently been recognised at the Great British Care Awards for our lifestyles programme.

Our purpose-built care home in Suffolk allows residents to carry on with those everyday routines they cherish, including having a weekly hair and nail appointment in the home’s luxurious hair salon, catching up with friends over fresh coffee and homemade cake in the vibrant café, or enjoying a walk around our beautiful landscaped gardens. Residents can also enjoy a relaxing massage in the therapy room, have a get together in the celebrations room, or enjoy their favourite film at the state-of-the-art cinema.

Bucklesham Grange Care Home is an integral part of the local community and we host monthly support groups for our local Alzheimer’s Society and Suffolk Family Carer Group. There is a wide range of popular activities available for older people in the home including film nights, ‘movement to music, arts and crafts and cocktail parties! Our care team tailors activities to the individual needs of residents so that everyone can get involved and we like to include trips out where possible with the support of the Oomph minibus.

Outside, we have stunning landscaped gardens which flow around the home. Our gardens include a greenhouse, a ‘teapot tree’ (created by residents) and six friendly chickens who are a firm favourite with residents. Our green-fingered residents love the garden, while others prefer to sit out on the café patio area and chat with friends and family over tea and cake.

Meanwhile, our dementia environments are designed specifically to enhance the quality of life for residents, offering stability, reassurance and familiarity. We support residents, and their loved ones, to maintain their relationships and keep their close connection via various digital platforms such as iPads and Facebook Portal devices, which allow loved ones to see photos, send messages and share videos. This means you can still communicate with residents no matter how far away you may be.
