The Rosary Nursing Home

The Rosary, situated in Bridgewater, Somerset, has spectacular views over Quantock Hills and Durleigh Reservoir where you can see boats during the summer and our residents enjoy spotting the wildlife. The Rosary is a charming Jacobean home with period features that gives a certain charm. We have an elegant secure garden that has wheelchair access alongside our comfy heated summer house. Each year we turn our garden into our own Winter Wonderland!

Here at The Rosary, we provide palliative, nursing, dementia, respite, and daycare - our team is fully qualified to understand the care needs of those who have dementia and memory loss as well as being fully qualified to providing support for residents who have brain injuries and neurodegenerative conditions such as MS and Motor Neurone Disease.

We are privileged to have such an experienced and long-serving team at The Rosary. Natali, the Manager at the home has been here for 24 years and the team alongside her is devoted to ensuring the residents are happy and all their care needs are met. Here at The Rosary, we are always finding new ways to ensure our resident’s care is as good as it can be, therefore, we have welcomed new technologies to do exactly this. We have new state-of-the-art nursing equipment and a full body hoist that is able to support rehabilitation and health.

The Rosary has a newer dementia wing called ‘snowdrop’, a specialist facility enabling a better quality of care for our residents living with dementia. It has spacious bedrooms, walk-in wet room showers, and beautiful views over the reservoir for our residents to enjoy. We have two Activities Coordinators at the home, one working with the dementia residents and the other with the nursing residents, this way we can ensure that the activities are suitable and we can meet their different needs. The activities include trips down memory lane, pampering therapy, and even our own hairdressing salon. We like to make sure our residents are still able to experience things even through Covid and as we couldn’t go to the annual Bridgewater Carnival, we decided to bring it to us with tin can alley, candy floss, and lots of stores!

At The Rosary, the cost per week starts at £1,085 but will vary depending upon your loved ones’ individual care requirements. To find out whether we are currently accepting residents funded by the Local Authority and what our current availability is, please do give our Home Manager a call.
