The Sycamores

The Sycamores is a purpose-built care home in a tranquil residential area of Newton in Hyde, Greater Manchester. We specialise in residential care and dementia support for individuals aged 65 and over. Our trained staff can address a variety of care needs, such as strokes, diabetes, hearing loss, vision impairment, and incontinence. Whether you need convalescent care, ongoing support, or short-term respite, we are here to assist you and your family.

Our beautiful care home features 52 comfortable bedrooms, many with en-suite facilities and lovely views of the landscaped gardens. Each room at The Sycamores is equipped with call bells, Wi-Fi, a telephone connection, and a TV point. Some rooms also provide access to patios. We encourage residents to personalise their spaces with cherished items and decorations, creating a more comforting environment.

The Sycamores offers a wide range of shared facilities, including cosy social lounges and inviting dining areas, a sunny conservatory, a hairdressing salon and nail bar, and a serene room for relaxation. Residents can enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and charming patio, complete with flowerbeds and seating areas, ideal for appreciating nature and indulging in their love for gardening. The care home’s design emphasises accessibility, with wheelchair-friendly features incorporated throughout the facility.

At The Sycamores, our devoted culinary team focuses on preparing fresh meals for residents, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Residents can choose to dine in communal areas or privately in their rooms. We maintain designated mealtimes, providing three daily meals alongside a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea. Additionally, we encourage residents to participate in menu planning to reflect their preferences. Our skilled chefs accommodate all dietary needs, personal tastes, religious requirements, and feedback from friends and family.

The Wellbeing Coordinators conduct Social Committee meetings and ensure the weekly events calendar features clubs, talks, and performances by local artists, including dancers, magicians, and singers. Residents can engage in a variety of activities such as gardening, baking, singing, quizzes, and different arts and crafts. We also organise regular community events for residents and their family, friends, and neighbours to enjoy at home.
