The Homestead Care Home in Carterton, Oxfordshire, provides elderly residential and dementia care for individuals with a range of needs including respite support.
The Homestead is a purposefully designed care facility, providing residential and dementia care for up to 68 older people. The home is split over three floors, with multiple communal areas and a dining space on each level. All bedrooms are en suite and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by adding their own furniture and personal belongings. The home benefits from airy and spacious living throughout the building and landscaped gardens which our residents are free to enjoy.
We have many activities throughout the day which all residents are invited to participate in should they wish. Our Activity Coordinator ensures there is a varied programme including arts and crafts, games, quizzes, baking and exercises. Award-winning music therapy is offered for residents living with dementia to help alleviate isolation, along with HUG dolls, robotic pets and our interactive 'magic table'.
