Sunnyside is a purpose-built care home located just outside Droylsden in Tameside. Conveniently situated only four miles east of Manchester, this welcoming residence offers support for older individuals requiring residential care and care for residential dementia. Whether you need convalescent care, long-term care, or a short respite stay, the compassionate team at Sunnyside is here to help. We cater to a variety of care needs, including those related to strokes, diabetes, hearing loss, heart disease, frailty, visual impairment, and incontinence.

Our welcoming care home features 43 tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities, a call bell, Wi-Fi, a TV point, and furniture. We encourage residents at Sunnyside to bring some of their personal belongings and small furnishings from home to help them settle into their new surroundings.

At Sunnyside, we offer a variety of spacious communal areas where residents can relax, enjoy meals, and engage in activities. These areas include lounges, a dining room, a hair salon, a kitchenette, and a sunny conservatory. Our residents enjoy spending time in our beautifully landscaped gardens and patio, with some even taking part in maintaining the garden and flowerbeds. Additionally, all areas of the care home are wheelchair accessible.

At Sunnyside, our talented culinary team is committed to preparing fresh and nutritious meals for our residents. We prioritise using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients whenever possible. Residents are encouraged to share their preferences and special requests with the culinary team, who will incorporate them into the menu. We consider special diets, individual tastes, religious considerations, and input from friends and family to ensure everyone’s needs are met.

Sunnyside has a Wellbeing Coordinator who expertly plans weekly events and activities for our residents. These activities include gardening, baking, arts & crafts, and more! We also welcome visits from local community groups and performers; residents' friends and family are always invited to join us. Our minibus facilitates local day trips to cafes, garden centres, and other points of interest.
