Springfield House Care Home is ideally located in the heart of Low Fell, just a short drive from the historic Gateshead. We offer personalised support for older individuals through residential and dementia care services. Our committed team specialises in assisting those with care requirements related to strokes, diabetes, heart issues, frailty, incontinence, and vision or hearing difficulties.

Our inviting purpose-built care home includes 69 bright and stylish en-suite bedrooms, all outfitted with a call bell, TV connection, and fitted furniture. A few bedrooms feature patio doors leading directly into the gardens. We also provide several self-contained suites that are popular with couples wishing to remain together. We encourage residents to tailor their rooms to their liking by bringing cherished items from home, such as their favourite armchair, picture frames, or rug. All bedrooms are designed for wheelchair accessibility, and we have an elevator for easy access to the upper floors of Springfield House.

At Springfield House, we provide a variety of spacious communal areas, many offering beautiful views of the landscaped gardens, where our residents can relax, socialise, and dine. These areas include cosy lounges, dining areas, a tearoom ideal for enjoying a cup of tea and cake with visitors, a café, a quiet room, a hair salon, a nail bar, and a sensory room.

Our skilled culinary team ensures that mealtime at Springfield House is an enjoyable experience, consistently serving freshly prepared and nutritious dishes. We always make an effort to use locally sourced ingredients when possible. Meals are provided three times a day at specified times, along with mid-morning snacks and afternoon tea. We love celebrating special events, such as birthdays and anniversaries, with our chefs preparing delightful cakes and themed spreads.

Our Wellbeing Coordinator organises a diverse activities schedule for our residents, involving them in planning to ensure activities cater to everyone’s interests. Popular choices include quizzes, arts and crafts, gentle exercises, and performances by local entertainers. Additionally, we have a minibus available for local trips to parks, cafés, and nearby amenities.
