Snapethorpe Hall

Snapethorpe Hall, located in the residential neighbourhood of Lupset in Wakefield, is a welcoming sanctuary for older individuals needing residential care, dementia support, or assistance with physical disabilities. We offer a safe environment for both long-term and short-term care, with a team of trained professionals providing personalised care for various needs, including strokes, diabetes, heart disease, frailty, and sensory impairments.

We are currently undergoing a refurbishment program to enhance and revitalise various areas of Snapethorpe Hall to serve our residents better and create a more comfortable atmosphere.

Snapethorpe Hall is designed with a purpose. It features 62 bright and cosy en-suite bedrooms, each tastefully furnished and equipped with a call bell for assistance and a TV point for entertainment. Some rooms offer lovely views of the garden, and we also provide premier room options. Residents can personalise their rooms with small pieces of their own furniture and cherished belongings to create a homely feel. We also have assisted bathrooms available for residents’ use.

The expansive communal spaces at Snapethorpe Hall are crafted for comfort and connection, including 4 inviting sitting rooms, four charming dining areas, a delightful hairdressing salon, a quiet room, a kitchenette, and a cosy café—ideal for enjoying a relaxing cup of tea alongside a sweet treat! Furthermore, we have a shop with newspapers, magazines, and small luxury items. We are lucky to have a beautiful courtyard garden that some residents enjoy helping to maintain. There is also a designated smoking area for residents who smoke.

At Snapethorpe Hall, our culinary team delights residents with fresh, locally sourced meals, available in elegant dining areas or the comfort of their rooms. Special occasions are celebrated with delightful spreads and cakes.

Our Wellbeing Coordinator organises engaging activities based on residents’ interests, from gardening and baking to arts and crafts, board games, and local music performances. We also host community events to foster celebration and togetherness.
