Plas Cwm Carw is a thoughtfully designed care home located in the heart of Port Talbot. We specialise in providing residential care, residential dementia care, and nursing dementia care for individuals aged 65 and older. Our skilled staff are trained to support a variety of care needs, including those related to strokes, diabetes, hearing loss, heart disease, frailty, vision impairment, and incontinence. Whether you require convalescent, long-term, or respite care, we are dedicated to assisting you and your family.

Our welcoming care home features 66 tastefully decorated bedrooms, each equipped with en-suite facilities, a call bell, Wi-Fi, a TV point, and furnishings. We encourage residents to bring personal belongings and small items from home to help them feel more comfortable in their new surroundings. We also accommodate residents with pets by arrangement.

At Plas Cwm Carw, we offer spacious communal areas for relaxation, meals, and activities, including lounges, a dining room, a hair salon, a cinema room, a cafe, a summer house, a kitchenette and a quiet room. Our beautiful courtyard garden and patio provide a serene environment, and some residents actively participate in maintaining the garden. All areas are wheelchair accessible.

Our activity program, coordinated by our dedicated Wellbeing Coordinator, is vibrant and engaging. We rotate a variety of activities, including stimulating quizzes, delightful baking sessions, and therapeutic gardening. We frequently invite local community groups, talented performers, and enthusiastic volunteers to enrich our residents' lives through shared experiences and companionship. Additionally, we have a minibus for day trips to nearby attractions like garden centres, cafes, and parks.

Our culinary team prepares fresh meals using locally sourced ingredients. Residents can choose to dine in communal areas or in their rooms. Three meals, a mid-morning snack, and afternoon tea are provided daily. We encourage resident involvement in menu planning and accommodate all dietary needs and preferences.
