The purpose-built home features fifty-four single en-suite rooms, including twenty-three rooms designed for residents living with dementia and thirty-one for individuals with varying frailties. Each bedroom includes television and phone connection points and can be personalised with furniture and decorative items that reflect each resident’s life and personality. Nayland House also offers several welcoming communal areas and well-maintained gardens, all arranged to ensure good accessibility for residents and visitors alike.

Nayland House supports people with a wide range of needs, from short periods of recovery to complex long-term care. Every resident receives personal support with daily living so that they can enjoy a meaningful and fulfilling life suited to their abilities, whether they spend their time in the home or the wider Colchester community. Care is delivered by professional, compassionate and well-trained staff who recognise each resident as an individual and provide assistance throughout the day and night. The Activities Coordinator creates a varied weekly programme that may include quizzes, games, arts and crafts, reminiscence sessions, performances from visiting entertainers and organised outings in and around Colchester and the Suffolk countryside.
