Moorhouse in Hindhead, Surrey, offers respite, dementia and residential care for elderly residents with varying care needs. Our residents are at the centre of everything we do and are cared for by a team of qualified, highly trained care staff around the clock.

A historical country house in the village of Hindhead, Moorhouse is near to local shops and public transport. Our home is set within two acres of landscaped accessible gardens, giving most rooms views across the National Trust’s Golden Valley and charming Surrey countryside. Many of the ground floor rooms feature patio doors opening directly onto the gardens.

All residents have private rooms with individual phone points, and we encourage them to make their own space by adding personal touches and treasured belongings. We have some double rooms to support couples. We can accommodate requests for small items of furniture provided they meet health and safety requirements.

Moorhouse is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements. We specialise in freshly cooked, flavoursome food using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients with plenty of choices. Our Chef prepares all meals for residents on the premises to tempt even the smallest of appetites.

We have a dedicated wellbeing coordinator who arranges a varied programme of social events, trips and outings to support and encourage personal interests such as gardening, painting and crafts. Regular outings include trips to the theatre, shopping centres, and local attractions.

We have an open visiting policy with no restrictions on visiting times, and small, well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement with the manager.
