Glenfairn House Nursing Home

Glenfairn House Care Home in Ayr provides residential, nursing, dementia, mental health, respite and palliative care, all within a loving atmosphere. Our Edwardian home is idyllically situated just a short distance away from Ayr Beach and many of the bedrooms upstairs boast beautiful sea views across to the Isle of Arran.

The older area of the home has stunning period features such as high ceilings, ornate cornicing, bay windows and stained glass windows. Meanwhile, the newer part of the home is beautifully decorated and has wonderful views over the well-maintained gardens. Some of the downstairs bedrooms lead to smaller courtyard areas that are wheelchair accessible.

Glenfairn House offers outstanding facilities including spacious bedrooms, some of which have their own walk-in shower rooms.

We are hugely involved in our local community and often enjoy day trips to local attractions including Burns Cottage and Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway and the Riverside Museum. Sometimes, we visit another of Sanctuary Care’s homes, Howard House, for afternoon tea.

At Glenfairn House, our Activities Team arranges a host of activities for our residents like pamper sessions, bowls in the garden, barbecues and gardening. Our full-time hairdresser brings her little dog, Bonnie, with her and it’s safe to say the residents love spending time with her!

Glenfairn House is a residential care home with carers on hand to support residents 24/7 with their care needs. The weekly cost of care at Glenfairn House is dependent on the individual care requirements of an individual but starts at £1,100. We may be able to accept residents who receive funding support from their local council but this will be under the Home Manager's discretion.
