Dewar Close

Dewar Close in Bilton near Rugby, in Warwickshire, provides long-term residential care and short-term respite care for people living with dementia, as well as older people with long-term physical conditions.

Dewar Close has been designed as three separate households. The ground floor provides a home for 11 people with easy access, whilst the middle and top floors house 16 people each and can be accessed by a lift.

Each household has a living area with a lounge, dining area, and kitchenette. Dewar Close also has a beauty salon, offering unisex hairdressing and manicures

The open living area is a central hub for each household where people like to get together and socialise with other residents, family, and friends. Residents can take part in activities such as crafts, baking, and games, or they can go outside, making the most of the gardens.

Our large, secure gardens have a cycle path with a side-by-side bicycle for two, seating areas, planted spaces, and raised beds where our residents and staff grow fruit and vegetables.

As part of Dewar Close's activity provision, Community Musicians provide one-to-one and group music sessions. The Lifestyle Coaches plan a range of activities to ensure people carry on doing what they enjoy. WCS's Memory Maker minibus provides regular local trips to Rugby and local areas of interest across Warwickshire, for residents, including those who need to use a wheelchair. Loved ones are invited to join so families can make new memories together.
