Residents in our North Berwick home are supported by experienced and highly trained staff, with a Nurse on duty twenty‑four hours a day where possible. The home has been designed to enhance comfort and relaxation, offering a thoughtful blend of traditional character and modern facilities. Astley House provides thirty‑six bedrooms, including thirty‑two single rooms and four double rooms, most of which feature en‑suite facilities. Each room is tastefully decorated, refurbished regularly, and equipped with a television point and telephone access if required. Several rooms enjoy warm, uplifting views of the sea, the gardens, and the rolling East Lothian countryside. Personal touches are warmly encouraged, and residents are welcome to bring cherished items to create a true sense of home.

The home’s inviting facilities include tranquil gardens, an elegant hair salon, a family room, a conservatory, and intimate lounges where residents and families can relax and enjoy their time together. Life at Astley House is enriched by a varied activities programme created by our Health and Wellbeing Coordinator. Residents can enjoy arts and crafts, music sessions, spa treatments, quiz evenings, tea dances, and regular visits from entertainers, along with outings arranged using our own Mini Bus to the beach, nearby shops, and attractions throughout North Berwick and beyond.

Our seasonal menus feature a wide choice of freshly prepared meals, home baking, and snacks. Our in‑house chefs understand each resident’s preferences and cater for specialist dietary needs, including fortified, textured, diabetic, and high‑fibre options. Families are welcome to visit at any time and may join residents for Sunday Lunch or Afternoon Tea. We are also a pet‑friendly home, and small, well‑behaved animals may visit by arrangement with the manager.
