Hillside

Hillside nursing home provides compassionate nursing care for 68 residents who have a physical disability and younger people with long term medical conditions. Along with permanent care, we also offer respite care and day care.

At Hillside nursing home, we love to get our residents involved with decision making such as choosing menus, planning activities and even staff interviews. We are always looking for ways to make our residents quality of life as high as possible.

Some of the activities at Hillside include baking, flower arranging, knitting, art and crafts, gardening, exercise classes, external entertainers, optional church services, bingo and quizzes. We try our best to make sure that there's something to meet all of our residents' interests.

We also enjoy regular visits from local schools, Brownies and Scout groups who love to get involved and entertain residents with dancing and singing.

Hillside is delighted to have recently won an 'innovation award' at the Buckinghamshire County Council Dignity in Care awards. We were chosen as a result of our diverse use of technology. This includes a virtual reality headset for personalised adventure experiences, freely accessible internet access for shopping and communicating with family members living abroad and social media messaging services for routine access to the management team.
