Welcome to Highgate, a modern and inviting care home situated just outside Glasgow in the peaceful residential area of Uddington! Our dedicated team is passionate about providing exceptional support to older adults with various care needs, including nursing and dementia care. We are also proud to offer both long-term and short-term options.

At Highgate, we believe in creating a nurturing and warm environment. Our beautifully decorated bedrooms are designed with comfort in mind, featuring en-suite facilities, call bells, Wi-Fi, TV points, and lovely furnishings. We encourage residents to personalise their spaces with cherished belongings and small items from home to help foster a sense of familiarity and comfort. We are also happy to accommodate pets by arrangement, ensuring your furry friends can stay close to you.

Highgate boasts various inviting communal spaces to encourage relaxation and social interaction. These include spacious lounges, well-appointed dining rooms, an activities room, a shop, a cafe and a cinema. The home also features a hair salon, while outdoor areas like the landscaped sensory garden provide calm and accessible spaces to enjoy fresh air and natural surroundings.

Our Wellbeing Coordinators organise meetings for the Social Committee and maintain a weekly events calendar featuring clubs, discussions, and local talent performances. Residents can enjoy activities like gardening, baking, singing, quizzes, and arts and crafts. We also host community events, such as coffee mornings, for residents and their families. Additionally, we provide a minibus for day trips to nearby attractions like garden centres, cafes, and parks.

At Highgate, our culinary team prepares fresh meals using locally sourced ingredients. Residents can choose to dine in communal areas or in their rooms, with three meals provided daily, along with a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea. We encourage resident involvement in menu planning and accommodate all dietary needs and preferences.
