Elmwood Nursing Home practises personalised care for a number of requirements, including postoperative care, specialist palliative care, convalescence and respite provision.

This extensively refurbished facility has mature landscaped gardens, en-suite bedrooms and versatile social areas arranged for flexibility, a positive and comfortable lifestyle. Though homely, great attention has been paid to the health and security of the home.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are the cornerstone of daily life at Elmwood Care Home. We place importance on protecting residents meal times as good nutrition and hydration are key to staying well. Our daily menu always offers a choice of at least 2 dishes for each meal time and individual dietary requirements are always catered for. Family members of residents are very welcome to ‘book-in’ and join us for a meal.

Here at Elmwood Care Home, we offer a wide and varied daily activities programme that changes to make the most of the Great British seasons! Daily activities are planned for both morning and afternoon which take into account the interests of our residents. We also welcome community groups and schoolchildren into our home so residents can stay connected with their local community.

All the residents at Elmwood Care Home have their own unique, personalised care plan. A care plan takes into account not only care needs but the resident’s wishes. The care plan is continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.

At Elmwood Care Home, the cost per week will depend upon a Care Needs Assessment carried out by our Home Manager. We are also are able to accept residents who are receiving Continuing Healthcare funding. Included in care types we can support are nursing care, respite care & end of life care.
