Canmore Lodge is situated in Dunfermline, Fife. The home is part of Barchester’s group of Care Homes who are renowned for excellence. Providing support to a maximum of 68 residents with either nursing or dementia care needs. For couples who are looking for a care service where they can stay together, we have 4 double rooms available.

Providing specialist care for people with nursing needs and for people with dementia. All our residents are actively involved in their care choices, our care team respect the individual wishes of residents. We can also support your loved one with end of life care when the time comes meaning that we can be their 'forever home'. Whether you have permanent nursing needs or are in need of a respite stay, Canmore Lodge should be able to support you.

Residents with dementia are supported with specialist care, including Barchester’s very own 10.60.06 programme. The numbers are representative of components of the training i.e. 10 key things which must be seen in homes. As a result of the 10.60.06 programme, Barchester has seen a reduction in the number of falls in their homes and a reduction in the need for pain management/sedating medication.

Activities at Canmore Lodge are tailored to the interests of our residents. There is always something for residents to get involved in within the communal areas of the home. We like to provide residents with the opportunity to get out and about in the local community, cafe trips are always popular! As well as group activities, residents are also given the opportunity to do one-to-one activities in the community with a member of our activities team.

Our kitchen team pride itself on creating food that is of a restaurant standard, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Menus are planned around the individual tastes and dietary requirements of residents, there is always a wide range of choices available to tempt residents. Residents are welcomed to invite their friends and family to share a meal and a glass or two of wine.

Canmore Lodge in Fife bases their weekly fees on the unique care needs of the person requiring care. We recommend that you contact us to arrange a Care Assessment with our Manager which will enable us to provide a weekly cost indication.
