Located in the peaceful village of Capel Hendre in Ammanford, Llys Newydd offers compassionate residential and dementia care for individuals aged 65 and older. Our dedicated team provides personalised support for day care, convalescent care, long-term assistance, or short-term respite stays - all delivered with respect and kindness. Many of our staff are bilingual and can comfortably converse in both English and Welsh.

Upon entering our small, welcoming care home, you will find 34 beautifully decorated bedrooms, each thoughtfully equipped with en-suite facilities, a call bell, Wi-Fi, a TV point, and comfortable furniture. Many bedrooms offer scenic countryside views, and we are happy to accommodate pets by arrangement, ensuring that your furry friends can stay close to you.

At Llys Newydd, we provide a variety of spacious communal areas where residents can relax, enjoy meals, and engage in activities. These areas include lounges, a dining room, and a hair salon. Our residents particularly enjoy spending time in our enclosed garden and sunny patio, with some even participating in maintaining the garden and flowerbeds. Additionally, all areas of the care home are wheelchair accessible.

Our care home is vibrant and active, thanks to our enthusiastic Wellbeing Coordinator, who curates an exciting range of activities that cater to various interests. From gardening and baking delicious treats to arts and crafts and board games, there is always something fun happening! Our strong ties to the local community allow us to regularly organise events that celebrate togetherness and foster connections.

Mealtimes hold a special place in our daily routine. Our exceptional culinary team prepares three nutritious meals daily, complemented by a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea, all made using locally sourced, fresh, seasonal ingredients whenever possible. We love celebrating special occasions, such as birthdays, and our talented chefs consistently impress with their delightful spreads and delectable cakes.
