Gleavewood Care Home

Gleavewood is a caring place for residents to call home. The attractive 2 storey care home is nearby to Weaverham village centre, the Community Centre and various churches making in an idyllic location. We have an extremely friendly atmosphere which is valued by residents and their families.

All residents have their own bedroom, some with en-suite facilities. We welcome residents to personalise their rooms with their own furniture pieces, photos and mementoes to help them settle in at Gleavewood.

Around the home, there are several lounge areas, some of which are fitted with a hearing loop which improves sound reception and aids those with hearing impairments. There is also an array of dining areas where residents enjoy nutritious and balanced meals home-cooked by our talented chef.

Gleavewood has an activities coordinator who works in conjunction with care teams to create a regular programme of activities that reflects residents’ interests. This includes bingo, exercise to music, coffee mornings, one-to-ones, church services, sing-a-longs, daily living activities and walks. Occasional events include fayres, entertainment, games, outings, tea dances, art and crafts, gardening, local fêtes and community organised entertainments.
