Encompass offer the activity of personal care within 3 Prince of Wales Road specialist housing scheme.

The scheme provides support to people with complex health, communication or behavioural needs who may require court protection appointees. Specialist and responsive person-centred support is provided to ensure each person’s rights are protected and their needs met.

It has recently been refurbished with decorating done throughout and a new kitchen installed. The accommodation comprises of 6 bedrooms and two bathrooms - one bathroom on the ground floor, which also offers shower facilities, and one bathroom on the first floor. All bedrooms have washbasins and service users are encouraged to add their own personal touch to their rooms, including providing their own furniture if desired.

There is a lift from the ground floor to the first floor and a variety of equipment, including hoists, is available to make personal care and management as comfortable and trouble-free as possible.

To the rear of the house is a large garden that has a garden room/sunroom in it and is regularly used for a variety of recreational pursuits. Many of the service users choose and are encouraged to take part in home and community activities such as swimming, walking, clubs, adult education classes and excursions.
