Cheriton Care Home is conveniently situated in the heart of Dorchester, close to the town's amenities and local transport. The home has many spacious areas for residents to relax or socialise with friends and relatives including a charming garden so residents can enjoy watching the local wildlife and Trott the tortoise who is our popular summer resident.

All residents have private personalisable rooms with their own phone points and we encourage residents to make their room a space that they feel fully settled and comfortable in. Several ground floor rooms have direct garden access with their own patio table, chairs and planters. Small pieces of furniture, subject to meeting health and safety regulations can be accommodated. We have shared rooms available to support couples.

We have a varied social programme of activities tailored to residents’ interests like gardening or baking as well as trying to offer them something new. We offer a wide range of group and one to one activities and many activities are held in our garden, weather permitting. Our events include pet therapy sessions, day trips and local outings within the community.

Cheriton Care Home is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. Our dedicated chefs prepare all meals for residents on-site to tempt even the smallest of appetites.
