Oak Lodge Nursing Home includes a Community Resource Centre managed by Southampton City Council where a day centre service is offered. The nursing home offers long term care for people with varying levels of dementia.
Oak Lodge is a purpose-built care home that offers residents a comfortable setting, with each bedroom benefiting from under-floor heating, a telephone point and flat-screen television. Eye-catching pictures and brightly coloured living spaces help people with dementia to trigger memories.
The team organise regular outings and trips to ensure the care home has strong links within the community. Themed events are planned every month which residents are encouraged to invite family and friends along. Regular reminiscence activities help residents to live with dementia.
Before becoming a resident at Oak Lodge our Management Team will have met the prospective resident and conducted a Care Needs Assessment. This initial assessment allows the Care Home Manager to put a full Care Plan in place and order any special equipment ahead of the resident moving into the home.
