At Melrose Care Home we have a registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day. All the residents at Melrose Care Home also have their own unique, personalised care plan. A care plan takes into account not only care needs but the resident’s wishes. The care plan is continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.

We encourage our residents to partake in the daily activities programme at Melrose Care Home. We frequently offer a variety of activities for our residents which are inclusive of all abilities. Activity leaders visit the home most afternoons and our list of activities is ever-expanding with new suggestions from residents all the time. We also organise group outings to places residents ask to visit.

At Melrose Care Home our aim is to create a home that feels truly warm and cosy, with bedrooms that are light and airy but also offer soft comfort. Every bedroom can be completely customised, and we encourage all residents to bring furniture, soft furnishings and ornaments to make their space their own.

Good nutrition and hydration are important parts of staying well as we age. Melrose Care Home is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. We also have regular parties and celebrations where our cooks put on a spread and we invite all relatives, friends and families and of course, the teams family too! These are wonderful occasions with all generations coming together within the home to have some fun!

Melrose Care Home bases its cost per week on an individual's unique care requirements which are determined upon a Care Assessment carried out by our Home Manager. As a nursing home, we are able to accept residents who have been given Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding. We can accommodate many types of care including respite and end of life care. To find out whether we have current availability, please do give us a call and our team will be happy to provide more information.
