Benefits of Visiting Pods

  • Are made from easy clean surfaces for quick yet thorough cleaning between visits
  • They offer an aesthetically pleasing space with immersive graphics, to provide a calm and relaxing environment
  • Improve health and wellbeing of residents & families
  • Remove the need to bring external visitors into the care home building for visiting purposes
  • Care homes qualify for grant funding in some areas to cover the cost of installing a visiting pod
  • Visitors and residents are separated with glass or Perspex walls to minimise the transmission of Covid-19
  • Provide residents with much needed privacy to talk openly with their visitors

Internal Solutions

Showplace understands that not all care homes have space for an outside visiting pod, and have therefore created an internal structure that can be installed inside of the home. The internal pods need to be installed in a room that has an external door for visitors to enter. Internal pods have the benefit of residents not having to leave the care home building to receive a visitor.

Key Features

  • Two-way voice amplification
  • Branded panels
  • Available in 2m & 3m sizes

Showplace Testimonials

The team that came to install the pod were absolutely fantastic. The job was spot on and they paid attention to the smallest detail; I was really impressed! We have had quite a few visits already and it has been amazing. Relatives and residents have been crying with joy at finally being able to see each other and it’s been so heart warming to see. I can see a massive difference in the residents’ wellbeing since the visits. A dip in mental and emotional wellbeing can eventually impact on a person’s physical health and it was a worry that this was slowly starting to happen for some people. But the pod is perfect and all credit to those who came up with the idea. Everyone so far has loved their visits!"

Sophie Willis-Dixon, Registered Care Manager of Ladydale Care Home, Pearlcare Group

The trailer is ideal as it provides a safe and warm environment for our residents to meet with their families. Also, The Limes is a continually evolving site and company and so my hope is that when this pandemic is over, we can continue to use the trailer for a range of purposes, including exhibiting at shows."

Myles Dewen, Director of The Limes

The premium quality structure is unlike typical tents and marquees. It has two doors, glass sides and themed interior walls. It has been a real joy to see families reunited after being apart for so long, and it has brought many smiles to all of us."

Dr Joost Van Delft, Owner of Swimbridge House Nursing Home

It was really lovely to be able to see mum and for her to see me. I have missed visiting her and am really, really grateful for the effort the staff have put into facilitating this and think they have done a wonderful job in very trying and difficult circumstances. I cannot see how the visiting arrangements could be improved given the present restrictions. A huge, huge THANK YOU from me!”
