The Hawthorns Care Centre

We provide first-class 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for those with a dementia in our Memory Lane Community. We also provide a Neurological Rehabilitation service for younger adults and cater for respite stays.

Our team of highly-qualified and attentive staff really focus on the individual needs of our residents with a tailored care plan for each person. And our dedication can be seen across the board - in our cooking, hospitality and in organising activities for our residents.

A modern, purpose-built care home, The Hawthorns is set in a peaceful residential area of Peterlee. All of our residents have their own bedroom which they are encouraged to make their own. All rooms come equipped with electric profiling beds and furnishings. Should a new resident wish to bring their own items of furniture then providing they pass health and safety regulations we will do our best to accommodate this.

Good nutrition and hydration are an important part of staying well as we age. The Hawthorns Care Centre is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. Our Home Chefs do their best to tempt even the smallest of appetites and sweet treats are always provided to celebrate special occasions!
