Mahogany Nursing Home supports 51 people with both nursing and residential care needs in Wigan. Here at Mahogany, we believe in treating all residents with compassion, kindness and dignity. Ensuring our residents are safe and well cared for is of paramount importance. All residents have their own care plan which is supported by visits from local healthcare professionals.
All residents have their own tastefully decorated bedrooms with en-suite facilities, television and internet access. We believe that there is no place like home so encourage residents to bring their favourite items, including small pieces of furniture to help them settle into the home.
We want residents to continue to enjoy the little things in life – this includes meal times. All meals are prepared from fresh ingredients in the home’s kitchen and all dietary requirements are catered for. Residents can choose to enjoy their meals in the home’s dining room with fellow residents or in the comfort of their own room.
The home has a daily activities programme designed around the resident’s interests – staying mentally and physically active is an important part of ongoing health and well-being. This is supported by visits from hairdressers, chiropodists, and local community and charity groups.
