Lorna House issSituated in a tree lined road in a picturesque residential area off Cary Park in Torquay, Lorna House is an elegant Victorian residence, which offers a comfortable, homely lifestyle and quality care for elderly people who are no longer able to manage on their own.
More than just a care home, we offer our residents a caring and supportive atmosphere in which they can still enjoy their own sense of independence. At Lorna House we specialise in providing flexible and personalised care, in a comfortable ‘home from home’ environment with a real family atmosphere.
Our range of care services includes long-term care, and both planned and emergency respite care, as well as evening care, a lunch club, and day care with transport. With capacity for 24 residents, Lorna House is large enough to provide a stimulating social mix, but avoid the institutional character of larger homes.
Catering for elderly and disabled people, as well as those with mild dementia, we have a very busy social programme, which includes daily activities and entertainments for those who wish to participate. Lorna House’s friendly and informal atmosphere means visitors are also welcome at any time.
