Laurel Bank Care Home

Laurel Bank is a purpose-built nursing and residential home set just 10 minutes from the centre of historic Lancaster, with views of its castle, the rolling hills of the Pennines and tranquil Morecambe Bay. We are 30 minutes from the Lake District and, in the other direction, the seaside town of Blackpool.

We are passionate about providing quality care and specialist 24-hour nursing that offers the best possible alternative for those who are no longer able to manage at home. You'll find we're ideally suited to meet a wide range of care needs from simply helping with day-to-day living through to complex care requirements.

Our focus is the individual; our dedicated staff work closely with families and key professionals to develop a personalised package of care that is regularly reviewed to ensure that it adapts with the individual’s changing needs to support and maintain individuality, dignity, privacy and independence. Working within the philosophy of true person-centred care, the care team supports everyone to make their own decisions and choices regarding daily life and social activity.

Our dedication can be seen across the board in our home: cooking, hospitality, house-keeping, administration and in organising a wide range of activities for our residents and visitors. We have our own minibus and regularly take residents out to garden centres, coffee houses, museums, theatres and the local countryside.

We have visits from entertainers and a two-weekly fitness class with the local Ludas Dance Company. We encourage our residents to continue with pastimes they enjoy; computing, photography, woodwork, art, sewing, card making, cooking and gardening to name but a few.
