Knowesouth Care Centre

Knowesouth, close to the Scottish Borders town of Jedburgh, is a residential nursing home dedicated to the specialist care of older people with dementia. The impressive country house has 13 beds and is surrounded by mature parkland and gardens.

The therapeutic approach of care at Knowesouth is achieved through the close working relationships between care and nursing staff at the home together with Community Psychiatric Nurses, local GPs and the dedicated geriatric care team at the Borders General Hospital and Couldshields Assessment Unit. We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with families and friends of our residents and welcome visitors daily.

Our residents are encouraged to take part in a range of hobbies and past-times arranged by our dedicated activities co-ordinator who plans a varied programme every day. In the grounds of Knowesouth, there is Oakview, an extension to the house providing 36 modern and well-equipped bedrooms.

Good nutrition and hydration are an important part of staying well as we age. Knowesouth Care Centre is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. Our Home Chefs do their best to tempt even the smallest of appetites and sweet treats are always provided to celebrate special occasions!
