The Manor’s illustrious history can be traced back to 1816 when the Royal family, including the then Princess Elizabeth, would come to stay at Greathed hosting celebrations and picnics.
The Home also has a long pedigree in nursing and tending to the frail. During wartime, it served as a Hospital for servicemen, and after 1958, it was converted to provide 22 retirement apartments for the elderly.
In 2008, the Home was adapted to provide luxurious accommodation for elderly nursing clients. All our residents can enjoy the stunning views of the countryside from the comfort of their beautifully decorated mini-suites; each equipped with their own shower, Freeview television and private phones.
At Greathed Manor, we combine modern facilities and practices with traditional family values to provide your family with the best care, love and support possible. We strive to ensure that our home becomes a real home for the residents, their relatives and their friends.
