Beech Lodge

Beech Lodge was originally the home of the founder of St Austell Brewery here in St Austell. It was built around 1851.

Beech Lodge stands in 7.5 acres of beautifully planted mature trees and camellias, with Rhododendrons bursting into bloom throughout spring and early summer. Perched high upon the hill side, with great views of the viaduct and railway line.

We encourage residents to make full use of shared areas at Beech Lodge including lounges, the dining room and outdoor areas. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to their heart's content. It is important that their bedrooms are a space that they feel fully settled and comfortable in.

For our residents with dementia it is really helpful if family members are able to support care-staff in putting together a Memory Book. Memory Books are a brilliant aide-memoire for residents and helps them to share their life-stories with staff and fellow residents.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are the cornerstone of daily life at Beech Lodge. We place importance on protecting residents meal-times as good nutrition and hydration are key to staying well. Our daily menu always offers a choice of at least 2 dishes for each meal time and individual dietary requirements are always catered for. Family members of residents are very welcome to ‘book-in’ and join us for a meal.
