Wessex House Care Home

Wessex House in Somerton is a comfortable and modern nursing home in the heart of Somerset. Designed with residents’ well-being in mind, Wessex House is in an ancient and picturesque town and conveniently located near to shops, and local amenities.

We encourage residents to make full use of shared areas at Wessex House including lounges, the dining room, the hair salon and outdoor areas. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their bedrooms to their heart's content. It is important that their bedrooms are a space that they feel fully settled and comfortable in.

Good nutrition and hydration are an important part of staying well as we age. Wessex House is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets, as we have our own highly skilled and imaginative kitchen team.

We encourage our residents to partake in the daily activities programme at Wessex House, and we have a dedicated Activities Co-ordinator who organises a variety of events and activities that are tailored to the interests of our residents. If you’ve been a keen cook or gardener all your life we see no reason for this to change!
