Hi Tracey
Hope you are well.
I just wanted to give an extra special thanks and recognition to Dee for what she is doing at the moment with mum and dad.
They have both been a bit difficult lately, not wanting to have their baths and dad especially being a bit grumpy and not being very cooperative.
I think this isolation is getting them a bit down and they are getting a bit frustrated with each other added to which they are both deaf so that's not ideal!
Dee is always cheerful, understanding and genuinely caring with them and manages to persuade them to do things so they feel better afterwards. My dad likes a bit of fuss from Dee and she can get round his obstinacy like no one else. She makes sure that they both eat properly in the evenings.
She has made Thursday Clap for Carers so enjoyable for them, getting them to bang their pots at 8pm, she plays games with them and makes them laugh.
I feel completely at ease when Dee is there as she knows exactly what to do and how my mum and dad like things.
Also a special mention to Maria, they have taken to her very well and mum and dad look forward to her coming. They like that they can speak Italian with her, and treat her like extended family.
Thank you to all the ladies, for their hard work looking after not only their own families but others too.
Stay safe x
Michela

We've partnered with the care workers' charity to help promote the challenges carers are facing during the pandemic and to give those who are able a way to give directly to carers by donating to their charity.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic thousands of carers across the UK choose selflessly to continue to go to work everyday and care for our loved ones because if they don't who else will. We think they deserve a huge thank you from all of us.
Please please do. If you’re a UK care provider and you’d like to show the messages of thanks you receive on your website and in turn help us promote our message you can easily add the Message of Thanks widget to your website.
