My name is Keran Farrow, Care Manager in Wigan, I have worked in care for over 30 years. Joining Home Instead Wigan in August 2017 as I believe in the company ethos and working with the help of the office team and the CAREGivers will promote the brand reputation for professionalism and quality throughout the Wigan Borough.

We understand how extremely difficult and emotional it can be when making decisions around what is the best option for a loved one. We work closely with clients and their families to identify a person’s needs so that both our client and family members can feel comfortable in the service we provide.

The range of services we provide includes; companionship, home help, personal care, meal preparation, paying bills, local transportation, post-hospital care, respite and medication reminders, Dementia care, trips or visits, social outings and hobbies, attending clubs and much more, It’s a very personal choice.

It all begins with the type of person we employ. Our CAREGivers are carefully chosen for their empathy, compassion and respect they have for people. We train them to a high standard and have specialist ongoing training such as ‘Dementia Awareness’, which allows the CAREGiver to have a greater understanding of the conditions their client may be living with.
