Happy 30th Anniversary Last week I attended the 30th anniversary celebration of Belamacanda. I myself work for a day centre in Norfolk supporting young adults with disabilities and complex health needs. From the moment I walked through the door at Belamacanda I fell in love with the place. The residents and staff were hosting a variety of party games and had invited residents from other neighbouring homes to join in with all the fun. Out front of the home was a live band playing and a magician was walking about making model balloons for all the guests. It was my first visit to Belamacanda but it will certainly not be my last. Thank you for allowing me to be involved in such a fantastic day at a fantastic home with fantastic people!!

The support is amazing. I am a resident at Belamacanda and have lived at the home for around six years. I can honestly say that it has been such a fantastic home, it's like living at home with full time care and the support is amazing.

Belamacanda has the 'IT' factor... Last Christmas I visited Belamacanda during one of their festive parties. I could feel instantly what a a special place it was. The dining room was full of smiling residents, their friends and their families. The relationship between the staff and residents there was superb and speaking as someone who also works in an adult social care setting I feel that much can be learnt from the team who work there. In my role as a support worker in day services I am always quick to recommend Belamacanda to anyone who is searching for that 'perfect' home.

The worst experience in my life I was in Belamacanda for nearly a year, the quality of food was horrible. I lost lots of weights since I was there. It was very clean, But the decoration of kitchen was very bad. The management was not very good and they were short of stuff most of the times and it was effecting resident's wellbeing. They had a good transport for moving residents, But they were failed to provide carer for residents who needs carers to go out. Sometimes I was seen that there were spot in the sheet, But I was told that it is just spot and they are washed. Some of the carer was not very cooperative and in total, I haven't had.a good experience there at all.
