The Corner House

The Corner House Care Home in Clacton on Sea, Essex is an award-winning care home offering respite, convalescent, post-operative, residential and dementia care to residents with a range of healthcare needs. Residents are at the heart of our home and are supported by trained care professionals 24 hours a day to lead a life as independently as possible.

The Corner House is located in the Tendring area of Clacton on Sea within walking distance to the seafront and with nearby excellent transport services and amenities. The home has several comfortable areas for residents to relax including a choice of lounges, and lovely landscaped gardens with a gazebo so all residents can enjoy the changing seasons in comfort. Our facilities include a salon, cinema room, bar, and residents’ kitchenette. There is CCTV in all communal areas for the safety & assurance of staff & residents alike to give peace of mind.

The Corner House has been luxuriously refurbished, & now includes a crazy golf/playground area to encourage visitors to have fun with their loved ones.

Our residents have their own delightful rooms with individual phone and television points. We can support couples who wish to continue living happily together in one-bedroom suites. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms with cherished possessions. Requests for small items of furniture can be accommodated subject to passing health and safety regulations.

Our home specialises in fresh, seasonal, tasty food offering plenty of choices, including where to have meals. Our Home Chefs prepare all meals on the premises and regularly update the menus to include feedback and suggestions from the residents. Weather permitting, residents can also enjoy meals outdoors and families are welcome to join their loved ones for meals.

We have a dedicated activities coordinator who arranges a varied programme of social events, trips and outings to support and encourage personal interests. We offer a wide range of group and one-to-one activities such as gardening, baking and yoga. Our events often include outside entertainment, parties, day trips and local outings within the community. We welcome frequent visitors and family participation in the events that we organise.
