You’ll find our home just a five-minute walk from the centre of town in a lovely rural location with views over open countryside.

Local shops, public transport and other amenities are all within easy reach. Our team provides residential care for people who need a little help with daily tasks like washing, dressing or eating, along with specialist residential care for those living with dementia. We also offer respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break. Everyone here is very proud of the warm, friendly atmosphere throughout our home.

Listening to people is one of the most important things we do, so that we can truly get to know them and make sure they get the most out of every day. Our dedicated activities coordinator has planned a busy programme including games, movies, visiting entertainers and monthly tea parties shared with residents’ families. Team members also provide one-to-one activities which many of our residents find particularly rewarding.

Many of our residents with dementia particularly enjoy our reminisce sessions and our staff love getting to hear about the varied lives of each of our residents. Family members are also very much encouraged to come and join in with our dementia-friendly activities.

All the residents at Westroyd Care Home have their own unique, personalised care plan. A care plan takes into account not only care needs but the resident’s wishes. The care plan is continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.
