Westfield House Care Home in Toftwood, Dereham, supports up to 12 residents over the age of 18 who have learning disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder. We cab provide both residential and respite care support.
Our missions at Westfield House Care Home is to provide individuals with an innovative and inclusive solution to residential and respite care, to ensure our dedicated staff members understand the complex needs of our residents, to promote independence & progressions and to enable individuals to communicate in their own way.
At Westfield House we offer person-centred therapy and included in our resources are a sensory studio with large projected cinema screens, a polytunnel and growing gardens and a hydrotherapy bath. We also use Augmentative and Assistive Communication (AAC) and use communication symbols throughout the home. Our staff members are experienced in sign language, picture boards and objects of reference.
We have an excellent Transition Coordinator who works with all of our residents to develop a personalised discharge plan. We support our residents with their progression and development and work towards helping them gain the life skills and confidence needed to live and/or work as independently as they can.
