The broad range of care types within our home means that The Orchard can deliver a truly dedicated and clear care pathway. It enables individuals to remain in one care placement, rather than having to relocate as their needs change.

We are proud to be in partnership with Therapy on Thames whose expert physiotherapists use our onsite specialist physiotherapy room and equipment to support residents needing physio after a fall or injury, operation, or wanting to improve their strength and mobility.

Having the facility on-site and in the comfort of the care home removes the limitations and logistical challenges of arranging external trips for residents. Secondly, it allows for a quicker response to residents’ needs, without the delays associated with waiting for external appointments or visits - it’s a positive step for the residents’ overall well-being, as regular use of a gym can help to prevent deconditioning and support better physical health.

In addition to the bookable sessions for The Orchard’s residents, time with Therapies on Thames’s expert physiotherapists in the home’s space can also be booked by members of the local community.

The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation. We also work to the nationally accredited Gold Standard Framework in palliative care, ensuring the very highest standard of support during a person’s last days.

Good nutrition and hydration are an important part of staying well as we age. The Orchard is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. Our Home Chefs do their best to tempt even the smallest of appetites and sweet treats are always provided to celebrate special occasions!
