Stanborough Lodge stands in almost an acre of picturesque, landscaped gardens in Welwyn Garden City, overlooking beautiful open farmland, only a stone’s throw away from Stanborough Lakes and located just off the A1(M). The care home offers respite, residential, and specialist dementia care for residents with a range of healthcare requirements.

As you step through the front door of our home in Welwyn Garden City, a warm welcome awaits from our friendly and dedicated care team. We provide 23 furnished bedrooms, 2 of which are doubles. Each bedroom has ensuite facilities. You are welcome to personalise your room with cherished possessions to create your very own home-from-home living space.

The summer house provides a tranquil setting for residents to relax whilst enjoying views of our beautiful country garden. Our large garden with outdoor seating is on a corner plot, so it provides plenty of space for all residents during the warmer months to stroll along the pathways and enjoy the ever-changing seasonal flowerbeds.

We have a coffee shop area adjoined to our lounge that our residents can use and enjoy with their loved ones. Friends and family are welcome to visit at any time and are invited to attend all our different events throughout the year. We also have a quiet library room where our residents love to relax and watch the fish in our fish tank.

Our communal areas offer a relaxing environment where residents can participate in a variety of activities organised by our dedicated Activity Co-ordinator. All residents are issued a timetable of activities throughout the week, including arts and crafts, brain training, games and quizzes, beauty therapy, baking, and music sessions. Once a month, we have a church service here led by our local church. Our hairdresser and nail technician are also available regularly for an additional charge.
