A warm welcome to Redwell Hills Care Home, Consett. You’ll find Redwell Hills in the heart of Leadgate village just a few minutes from the town centre. Local shops are within easy reach and the bus stops right outside the home.

Our team provides residential care for people who need a little help with daily tasks like washing, dressing and eating, along with general nursing care for people with more complex medical conditions. We also offer respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break and intermediate care as an alternative to a hospital stay. The whole team is very proud of the home’s welcoming atmosphere and our good reputation among residents and their families.

Listening to our residents is one of the most important things we do, so that we can truly get to know them and make sure they get the most out of every day. We have a busy activities programme that ranges from socialising in our lovely garden to weekly outings and community links with local schools and churches, including monthly services.

Good nutrition and hydration are an important part of staying well as we age. Redwell Hills is able to support people with a range of dietary requirements, including specialist diets. Our Home Chefs do their best to tempt even the smallest of appetites and sweet treats are always provided to celebrate special occasions!
