Portland House is the proud winner of the ‘carer of the year’ award featured and recognised by the Leicester Mercury. We are privileged to have been acknowledged as a high standard care provider by the Leicestershire County Council who has honoured us with the GOLD QAF award. Our high standard of care is thanks to our reliable carers, experienced management team and professional catering and domestic staff. Our aim has always been to ensure that the very highest standards of care are maintained and meet current legislative standards.

A family-owned and managed residential home for elderly people, it combines the very latest amenities and living aids with a wealth of period features creating a unique charm and character.

We pride ourselves on the stimulating activities that are part and parcel of life at Portland House. Our wide range of activities includes outings to local places of interest, mini day cruises, visiting entertainers, games and puzzles, flower arranging, films shows and armchair exercise.
